Dal makhani banane ke liye sabse pehle aap urad dal aur rajma ko dho le aur raat bhar bhigo kar rakh de. Subha iska pani nikal kar ise saaf pani me pressure cook kar le. Ab ise tadka lagane ke liye ek pan me butter garam kare. Isme jeera bhun le aur pyaj dalkar halka gulabi hone tak bhun le. Ab isme haldi, namak, lal mirch, kashmiri mirch, dhaniya powder aur garam masala dalkar bhun le.

Ab isme tomato puree dal de aur tab tak bhune jab tak ki masale ghee na chor de. Iske bad isme boiled dal add kare. consistency ke anusar aap isme pani bhi add kar sakte hai.
